I'm Nick Bartlett. I build things from zero.

I'm a 0→1 builder — the phase where nothing exists yet and you have to figure out what to make, how to make it, and whether anyone cares. I write the code and think about the product, staying close enough to the user to know when it's wrong. I wrote down how I think.

Right now I'm co-founder and CTO at Showrunner, where we build AI-powered virtual production tools for film and TV. Our pipeline has been used on dozens of stages and productions, and won NAB Product of the Year.

Last year I built icdcodes.ai for Freed — a medical coding tool that crossed 350M+ organic impressions in under a year because the product's structure matched the demand. I wrote about what that taught me.

Earlier: built the product team at Ironhack from scratch through a $20M Series B. Helped scale Trilogy Education to a $750M acquisition. Started at IBM, rebuilding the ibm.com marketplace for 60+ countries.
